Coach McDowell is a 1995 graduate of Jackson, lettering in football. He was All-Conference, All-District, and All-State in football. Reagan attended Southeast Missouri State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Masters in School Administration. Reagan graduated from SEMO in 1999 and 2001 respectively.

Reagan is currently a physical education teacher at West Lane Elementary, high school football and track coach, and 9th grade boys basketball coach in the district. Reagan has a son, Randol, and a daughter, Lauryn.
