Coach Gonzalez is from Louisville, KY where he graduated from Louisville Male HS in 2011. After high school he went on to play college football at Lindsey Wilson College from 2011-2015. During his playing career he was named Mid-South Conference East Division First Team in 2013 and 2014 seasons while helping lead Lindsey Wilson to their first Mid South Conference Championship and a NAIA Quarterfinals appearance in 2014.

Coach Gonzalez started his coaching career at his alma mater in 2019 where he coached Tight Ends and assisted in Special Teams. From 2019-2022 he helped lead the Blue Raiders to four playoff appearances, three Conference Championships, three Semi Final Appearances, and one National Championship in 2020.

In 2023 Emilio joined the coaching staff here at Jackson High School where he coaches the Tight Ends and assists in Special Teams. This will be his 2nd year coaching here at JHS and 1st year teaching.
