Coach Callis is a 2018 graduate of Jackson. In high school, he received all-conference, all-region, and all-state honors. Additionally, he was 2x Offensive Player of the Year in the conference, 2x Offensive Player of the Year in the region, and a Carr Trophy winner.
Coach Callis graduated from Southwest Baptist University with his Bachelor’s degree in Business in 2021 and in 2023 with his Master of Business Administration degree. He is the first athlete in the university’s history to win the conference Scholar Athlete of the Year award.
During his playing career at Southwest Baptist, he was a 2x Harlon Hill nominee, 2x Offensive Player of the Year in the conference, Don Hansen All-American Quarterback, and currently holds 8 school records for the Bearcats.
Most recently, Coach Callis spent time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL, and he now resides in Jackson with his wife, Lauren. This will be his 2nd season coaching quarterbacks for Jackson.
